An amount of 1,300 million rupees credited to farmers’ accounts due to wrong account numbers has been returned to the Department of Agricultural Development. Commenting on this, the same.
The department pointed out that before crediting the relevant money to the farmers’ accounts, some farmers had informed the agricultural service centers to check whether their account numbers given to the agricultural development centers were correct.
During this season, the Department of Agricultural Development has made arrangements to distribute 08 billion rupees to 12 lakh farming families in the form of non-reimbursable amount of 10,000 rupees per hectare and 20,000 rupees per 02 hectare under the funds of the Asian Development Bank. Also, out of the 08 billion rupees, 6.5 billion rupees have been credited to the farmers’ accounts, the department said.
Accordingly, another 1.5 billion rupees is currently being processed by the Department of Agricultural Development, and by the end of the coming week, all the money will be credited to the farmer’s accounts.
