Ireland, who batted in the reply innings, scored 54 runs in 8 overs and 2 balls for the loss of 2 wickets, when the match was interrupted by rain.

According to Duckwat and Lewis theory, the Indian team won the match by 5 points.

With that victory, the Indian team qualified for the semi-finals from the second group.
