The post-mortem examination will be conducted on the body of deceased Nimal Amarasinghe

The post-mortem examination was conducted today (28) on the body of Mr. Nimal Amarasinghe, who died during the protest held by the National Force last Sunday while being hospitalized and receiving treatment.

The body of Mr. Nimal Amarasinghe, which had been deposited in the Colombo National Hospital mortuary, was identified by his family members this morning (28).

The testimony of the relatives was recorded before the Colombo Fort Magistrate and a group of activists of the National People’s Force also came to the hospital.

Then, Mr. Nimal Amarasinghe’s body was taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology in Colombo for forensic examination.
