Two Sri Lankan youths who were staying and working in Japan have lost their lives in a car accident in Japan.
In a car accident that occurred at Honmachi intersection in Koga city, the two people who came in one car were seriously injured and taken to the hospital. One died on the 13th and the other two days later on the 15th.
The two friends who lived in Shimatsuma, Japan were traveling in a car and were speeding from the side road to the main road at Honmachi intersection when they were hit by the car driven by the Japanese driver coming from the other side. Although the vehicle was damaged, the Japanese driver was not injured.
The two youths, Nisal Charuka Widanagamage, 25, who was a resident of Matara area, and Rajitha Lakmal Sandaruwan, 26, who was a resident of Halawata area, died in this fatal accident.
His Sri Lankan friends in the country had to collect aid money to send the bodies of these two Sri Lankan youths to Sri Lanka.
